Yes, its crazy here (or was). 600 miles away from where Ike landed, and people here panic and run to fill up their cars with gas. Yup, sure enough, supply is temporarily halted and everyone else is left without gas. But things are back to normal, mostly. Except for the nuts who will do it again for the next storm.

I think the deal is that everyone is sitting home with nothing to do but talk about the gas shortage, because they don't have gas to put in their cars to go anywhere. At least, that's my take on it.

On the other hand, I shared a crosswalk with seven other people last night across Hillsboro which was sort of astonishing for Nashville, where no one walks anywhere. I'm enjoying the opportunity to cut out useless driving.

Hilarious. This damn gas thing is all I hear about and I don't even live in Nashville anymore. It's the Nashvillian way to dwell on a topic until you're blue in the face...you guys must be REALLY sick of it, especially if you have no gas!
