News to me. Guess I'm not a geek anymore. Damn. I feel empty inside.

Besides, that isn't even a proper stereotype. It would be stoners and boozers that don't get up before the crack of noon, not geeks.

Geeks wear pocket protectors and glasses and have all of the good jobs.

Try
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=...
for more info

Get your stereotypes right! lol

Re: Nashville Tweet-Up Tonight! | Nashvillest

I think the real geeks/Indy fans saw it at midnight, like I did. Sounds like Paul is just trying to stereotype geeks to fit his view of geekdom, one that it is unfounded, inaccurate and yea, basically wrong.

Re: Nashville Tweet-Up Tonight! | Nashvillest

The idea behind it is getting to meet the people we're constantly Twittering/blogging/Facebooking/emailing/Myspacing and whatever else it is we do. We're just happy for the chance to unplug and do things the old-fashioned way.

And as for Indiana Jones, we're huge fans too. But the reviews so far have been bad enough that we're not too upset about missing opening night. Let us know how it goes, though!

Re: Nashville Tweet-Up Tonight! | Nashvillest

Having a "geek" meetup on the night that Indiana Jones premiers?

This from the same group that has a "geek breakfast" ridiculously early in the morning.

I don't know many true, classic geeks that would skip Indiana Jones for drinks or get up and meet people for breakfast at 7:00am.

Lots of Twitterers, mommy bloggers, and maybe a few IT professionals - who are great by the way, not slamming them - but not many died-in-the-wool geeks.
