Nashvillest: Getting Creative: RTA Helps You Share Rides | Nashvillest

That's a great idea. I've been ridesharing (or rather, bumming rides) for the last couple of weeks and enjoy it a lot. At first, it was because my car was in the shop, but now I continue to do it as much as possible because of that whole carbon footprint thing and I enjoy the conversation with fellow employees before and after work.

I read recently that m.p.g.p.p. (miles per gallon per person) is the new m.p.g. The more we rideshare and contribute to the driver's gas tank, $4 per gallon feels more and more like $2 per gallon.

    Thanks for sharing the link.

Glad to help! We thought the site was pretty sweet and were surprised we hadn't heard of it before. We're all about saving gas/money/carbon emissions any way we can.

I registered with MTS RideShare last year before the weather turned cold (since I've been on a scooter since 2/2007), but have yet to get a match from Charlotte Park to Vandy.

Luckily, I could always depend on my good buddy who lives in Bellevue, and works at Vandy Creative Services when the goin' got too rough. I'm more than a mile from the nearest bus stop, and after 6 p.m., it's more like 2.5 miles.
